Last night, Oakland was treated to a performance by the Magik*Magik Orchestra, which collaborated with many local Bay Area bands to help benefit Magik for Kids. Headliners were Geographer, Two Gallants and Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers. The bands combined originals with covers of some of their favorite classics.

It was an emotional night. Nostalgia filled the venue because some band members told childhood stories. Melodies from Diana Gameros' days visiting her grandparents farm in Mexico, and songs that Zach Rogue from Rogue Wave performed at his friends' weddings.
