Brand Who You Really Are for TV, Radio and Internet Success

Brand Who You Really Are!

I believe that the world needs you - your voice, your message, your story - to help us in our eternal search for happiness and fulfillment and to experience phenomenal success.

My mission now is to empower individuals, small to medium sized business owners and professionals in transformational leadership, wellness and coaching to have an extraordinary impact in the world by providing you with the tools & training to effectively promote your message, brand or product through the media in a way that is authentic to who you really are, and in line with your values and personality.

While working my way up the ranks in front of and behind the camera I took part in shaping the TV and online careers of several big authors, designers and experts of all kinds. While serving as the Spokesperson for Discovery Health Channel - before it became the Oprah Winfrey Network, I established my own brand - and made mistakes that caused me to become bored and disillusioned.

After a few years, I actually had to kill the original "Dr. Andrea" brand because I didn't like her and what she represented!

As someone who first built her television brand unconsciously, that is, in a reactionary mode rather than a pro-active mode, there are clear benefits from being aware of who you are, the value of what you have to offer and what you want to get out of this.

Let's begin with the image you portray on social media such as Facebook Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest.

Conscious Brand Building on Social Media

One of the things I've learned over a near 20-year professional career in broadcast and digital media is that conscious personal branding is as important as brushing your teeth after eating garlic. The impression we make as our energy wafts across the airways -- or across the table -- matters when it comes to making a lasting impression.

As author Megan Dalla-Camina echos, your personal brand  communicates who you are, what you stand for and what you promise to deliver in business and beyond. You want to draw people in - not push them away!

As I shared in an TV interview on Inside Edition in the USA about the fallout from Bethenny Frankel's Instagram pics in her 4-year-old daughter's pijamas, the brand image and statement you put out to the world can hurt you when it's not considered intentionally and consciously.

While Bethany lost many of her social media followers, (and maybe some of her dignity?) the damage to her brand may be dire as she looks to pick up the pieces and create new business after the loss of a major TV talk show and a very messy, public custody battle.

So how is your social media profile impacting your brand? Do your online profiles portray who you really are and who you want to be known as?
