Atif Choudhury

LLM Candidate (Public International Law), Queen Mary University of London

Atif Choudhury is a first generation Bangladeshi-American who was raised in Columbia, South Carolina. Atif graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2011 with bachelors degrees in Political Science and Medicine Health and Society. From 2011 to 2012, Atif served in City Year Washington D.C as a middle school tutor, mentor, and after-school program coordinator. Atif also served as both a City Year Corporate Sponsor Liaison, and Media Liaison. Atif earned his J.D. from William and Mary Law School in May 2015, where he concentrated in international law, post-conflict transitional justice, and rule of law development. He served as a TetraTech DPK Global Law and Development Fellow where he is providing technical and operational support to justice sector projects in Timor-Leste. Atif is currently a LLM Candidate in Public International Law at Queen Mary University of London. Atif ultimately intends to utilize his legal education in order to pursue an inter-disciplinary career within the fields of Transitional Justice, Human Rights, International Development, Governmental Transparency, National Security, and Foreign Policy.
