Abbye E. Meyer is a Ph.D. Candidate in English at The University of Connecticut, where she is finishing her dissertation on intersections between theories of disability and adolescence in young adult literature. Her work has been published in The Children's Literature Association Quarterly, and she has been working and teaching with non-profit education organizations and schools in the Boston area for much of the past decade.
