Alice Bean

Experimental particle physicist professor from Univ. of Kansas

Alice Bean is a University Distinguished Professor at the University of Kansas with a research specialty in experimental particle physics. She is a member of the CMS collaboration at the Large Hadron Collider, is the creator of a children's outreach project called Quarked! Adventures in the Subatomic Universe (www.quarked.org), has worked with the U.S. Department of State Office of Religion and Global Affairs on environmental issues as a Jefferson Science Fellow, and enjoys working with students of all ages to learn new things.
