Adel Danish

Dr. Adel Danish is the Chairman and CEO of the Smart Villages Company. He began his career as a researcher at the IBM Scientific Center in Paris, France. He is the Founder and co-founder of several companies in the IT field in Egypt, France and the USA. Dr. Danish is also the author of several European and American patents in the areas of telecommunications and information technology.

He has served as Board Member of Telecom Egypt from 2000 -2012; Chairman and CEO, Xceed, 2001-2013 and Board Member of Egypt-US Business Council in 2002-2008. He currently serves a second term as Board Member of the Egypt-French Presidential Business Council.

Dr Danish has also served as Chairman, Advisory Board of the School of Business at the American University in Cairo, 2010-2012; President of the Club d’Affaires Franco Egyptien (French Chamber of Commerce) in 1996 and 1997 and Member of the Board of Trustees of the French University in Egypt since 1998. Dr. Danish serves on the Board of Directors of Education For Employment|Egypt. He has received the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite in 2000.
