Alexander Kacala has been an active and engaged community member of Philadelphia since 2007.
In 2013, Kacala's passions for writing and journalism were utilized by G Philly, an auxiliary gay men's lifestyle publication of Philadelphia Magazine. As Contributing Editor, he contributed creatively, worked on magazine production, coordinated events and wrote both for the blog and print publication.
At the end of 2013, Kacala joined the team at Skai Blue Media, a boutique public relations firm. There, he assisted with client management, event coordination, social media strategy, and new client acquisition. While at Skai Blue, Kacala created #30Under30Phl for the blog Femme & Fortune. #30Under30PHL was a digital campaign featuring 30 phenomenal women of Philadelphia in 30 days leading up to the Forbes Summit.
Currently, Kacala is a contributing journalist to various online news outlets specializing in LGBT and men's lifestyle content. He also works with Philadelphia area businesses in brand development and experiential marketing initiatives, primarily for the LGBT market. Some of these businesses include Ps & Qs, Flywheel Sports, and West Elm.
