Allan D. Gilmour

President, Wayne State University

Allan D. Gilmour was unanimously elected by the Board of Governors in January 2011 to serve as Wayne State University's 11th President. President Gilmour spent most of his career at Ford Motor Company, from which he retired in 1995 as vice chairman. He rejoined the company as vice chairman in 2002, and retired again in 2005.

Gilmour is chairman of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan and serves on the boards of the Detroit Regional Chamber, Business Leaders for Michigan, Downtown Detroit Partnership, the Detroit Zoo, and Citizens Research Council.
