Amanda Coyne as an MFA in creative writing from the University of Iowa. Her work has appeared in such publications as Harper’s Magazine, the New York Times Magazine, Bust, and Jane. She has read original essays on NPR’s All Things Considered, PRI’s This American Life and is coauthor of the book, Alaska Then and Now, published in 2008 by Thunder Bay Press. She moved to Alaska to write for the Anchorage Press, Alaska ’s alternative newsweekly. Currently, she teaches writing at Alaska Pacific University and is freelancing for local and national publications.
