Senior Fellow, Center for Transatlantic Relations at Johns Hopkins-SAIS

Ambassador Robert Hunter is Senior Fellow at the Center for Transatlantic Relations at Johns Hopkins-SAIS. He was U.S. Ambassador to NATO, 1993-1998, and directed West European and then Middle East policy at the Carter National Security Council (1977-1981). He was Foreign Policy Advisor to Senator Edward Kennedy, served on the Johnson White House staff (education), and was at the Center for Strategic and International Relations and the RAND Corporation. He currently serves on the Secretary of State's International Security Advisory Board, Chairs the Council for a Community of Democracies, and serves on the boards of the European Institute and Atlantic Council. His doctorate (Fulbright Scholar) is from the London School of Economics.
