Austin Seaborn

Special Assistant to the Executive Director, Beeck Center for Social Impact + Innovation

As Special Assistant to Executive Director, Austin manages a variety of portfolios including scheduling and logistics, strategic initiatives, as well as events and engagement for the Executive Director. Before joining the Beeck Center, Austin was a Public Affairs Associate at the Markham Group’s Washington, D.C. office. While at Markham, Austin worked on a variety of public affairs issues for clients ranging from airlines to international non-profits. He also has extensive experience in community outreach, protocol, and stakeholder engagement. Austin is a former White House Intern, having served the Obama Administration in the White House Office of Legislative Affairs in 2014. Originally from the Ozarks in north central Arkansas, Austin now resides in Georgetown. On the weekends you can typically find Austin taking weekend trips, experimenting with new ingredients he finds at the Palisades Farmer’s Market, and playing tennis. Austin holds his B.A. in International Political Studies and German from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. While at Drury, Austin studied abroad at the University of Stuttgart in Germany and interned with the City Council of Schorndorf, Germany. Austin is a Hoya alumnus, having earned his M.A. in German and European Studies from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown.
