Program Manager for the getCoding initiative at 9 Dots

I am passionate about building innovative educational communities where kids and adults feel capable of changing their lives and the world. I love understanding how we develop as human beings, how our experiences at school both socialize and educate us, and why we do what we do. My background is in community organizing, policy and advocacy, education, and non-profit management. I developed and ran a non-profit from the ground up from 2011-2014 called the Detroit Food Academy. It is still running today and is currently in 10 schools across Detroit, MI. Currently, I am the Program Manager for getCoding at 9 Dots. We are a collaborative of engineers, educators, and volunteers committed to creating an education culture that gives more kids the chance to choose their own futures in STEM related professions.
