Amy Rosenbaum, a fellow at the Center for American Progress, is a legislative policy expert with strong ties to Capitol Hill and the Administration and a deep policy, legislative and political background. In 2010, Amy left the Hill after fifteen years, having served for nearly five years as Policy Director for then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). As Policy Director, Amy worked closely with Democratic Leadership in the House and Senate, individual Members, as well as key leadership, committee, and Administration staff to execute the Speaker’s Innovation and Science Agenda, the First 100 Hours Plan, the Energy Independence and Security Act, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the American Clean Energy and Security Act, and the America’s Affordable Health Choices Act. Prior to working for the Pelosi, Amy served as a senior policy aide on the Committee on Education and the Workforce, policy director for Representative Marty Meehan (D-MA), and research analyst for Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) and the Democratic National Committee (DNC). Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University and a PhD from Johns Hopkins University.
