Ashley Mateo is a features and entertainment writer and editor.
She was most recently the news editor at Seventeen magazine, where she also wrote cover stories and developed multi-platform campaigns. Prior to joining Hearst, Ashley was the assistant entertainment editor at SELF, where she launched self.com's Healthy Stars blog and oversaw all music content in the magazine. She also regularly contributed celebrity front-of-book articles. She has previously written for MTV News, Rolling Stone Australia and the Boston Metro, among others.
In 2011, Ashley appeared on the Sundance Channel's Push Girls. Ashley received a Bachelor's degree in Magazine Journalism from Boston University. When she's not traveling the world, she resides in Manhattan.
