CEO, Moda Operandi
Aslaug Magnúsdóttir is the CEO of Moda Operandi. Dubbed "fashion's fairy godmother" by Vogue, and one of the most influential people in British retail by Draper's, Aslaug came up with the idea for M’O while working with designers in New York and abroad. Aslaug brings to the company business acumen and a distinctive eye for fashion. Prior to launching M’O, Aslaug was an executive at Gilt Groupe and co-founded TSM Capital with retail legend Marvin Traub. Previously, while living in London, Aslaug was head of venture business at Baugur Investment Company and worked as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Co. Aslaug’s career began in Iceland, where she was a corporate and tax attorney at Deloitte. A Fulbright Scholar, Aslaug holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an LLM from Duke University School of Law and a degree in Law from the University of Iceland. Aslaug has served on the Board of Directors of numerous fashion and retail companies, including Matthew Williamson and Rachel Roy.
