Audrey Cheng

Audrey is the co-founder and CEO of Moringa School, where she's transforming higher education in Africa – starting with computer science. In the current program, she is accelerating high-potential individuals across Africa to become world-class software engineers. For her work, she was selected as one of the 2016 Forbes 30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneurs, World Economic Forum's Top Female Innovators in Africa and named on the list of Marie Claire's "The Youngest Execs in the Country" list. Moringa School has also been awarded Financial Times and IFC's "Finalist - Achievement in Sustainable Development, with a focus on Education, Knowledge and Skills". Audrey has spoken at various conferences from the World Bank’s Global Youth Summit to OECD’s Pathways to Youth Employment Conference to Tech Inclusion in Silicon Valley. Graduated from Northwestern University with a journalism and global health degree, she found a love of programming as a scalable and effective way to change the world for the better. She's driven to level the playing ground for people around the world through technology, to unleash the human potential and to bridge the gap between the Western world and frontier markets by creating more access to high-quality technical education, which she believes will transform the world as a whole. Moringa School graduates, on average, experience a 350% salary increase from before to after the program. In the next 10 years, Moringa School plans to scale across Africa and continue to deliver world-class education to high potential students. Currently, Moringa School consists of Moringa Prep for beginners and Moringa Core, our track-based, immersive 15-week course.
