Barbara A. Himes is a SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) parent and certified lactation consultant who has been working on SIDS and related issues for more than 25 years through affiliation with organizations such as the Fetal and Infant Mortality Review, Child Fatality Review, Indiana Perinatal Network, the Indiana Safe Sleep Network and more. She currently serves as the SIDS and Infant Loss Coordinator of the Indiana Perinatal Network, Executive Director of Baby Works of Indiana, Inc. and co-director of First Candle’s Bedtime Basics for Babies campaign in Indiana, which is coordinated by First Candle in partnership with Indiana University School of Medicine and Riley Hospital for Children.
