Ben Fractenberg is a multimedia journalist living in Brooklyn, New York. His work has appeared in leading publications including The New York Times Fort Greene-Clinton Hill local blog, Haaretz and Daily News.

Ben recently won a $15,000 grant from the McCormick Foundation, along with his business partner, Mariana Vasconcellos, to develop a platform for editors to assign stories locally to reporters and citizen journalists. They are planning to launch the site called the Local Desk within the next couple months.

Ben can often be found in various coffee shops in and around Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. He’s very friendly, though likely a little too hopped-up on caffeine.
