Bizunesh Scott

Special assistant to the president for Presidential Personnel

Bizunesh Scott is special assistant to the president for Presidential Personnel. 

Ms. Scott formerly served as the Chief (General) Counsel for the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Administration at the Department of Transportation.

Before joining the Administration, Ms. Scott was the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Golfsmith International Holdings, Inc. in Austin, Texas. During her time in Washington, D.C., she has practiced with two prestigious law firms: Patton Boggs LLP and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. She previously served on the board of The Diversity Project, a nonprofit organization that works to increase diversity within presidential administrations.

Ms. Scott holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan where she was an associate editor for both the Michigan Law Review and the Michigan Journal of Gender and Law and participated on the U.S. Championship Team of the Jessup International Moot Court Competition.

Scott lives with her husband and three sons in Washington, D.C.
