Bob Carter, M.D.
Missionary Physician, Serving in Mission in Kenya

Bob Carter, MD, MPH is a physician who has worked in Africa for over 27 years and observed first-hand the unfolding of the AIDS pandemic. As a career medical missionary with SIM (Serving In Mission), he pioneered a PEPFAR-funded free AIDS clinic at Mukinge Hospital in rural Zambia and now lives in Kenya, where he works as a physician at Kijabe Hospital and directs the AIDS Ministries Department at Moffat Bible College. He has a medical degree from Indiana University and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of North Carolina. Dr. Carter is a member of Christian Connections for International Health, a network of organizations and individuals promoting international health and wholeness from a Christian perspective.
