Bonna Devora Haberman is the author of "Israeli Feminism Liberating Judaism: Blood and Ink," proposing to release religion from its gender oppressions and render Judaism a liberating force among people; and "Rereading Israel: The Spirit of the Matter," which grapples creatively with the land, the people, history, text, and spirit. In Jerusalem, she is a founder of Women of the Wall and co-director of Jerusalem’s YTheater Project: Israeli-Palestinian Community Theater for a Change.
Haberman has taught at Harvard, Brandeis and Hebrew universities.
