Carla Washington

Carla D. Washington is the executive director of Direct Care Alliance, the national advocacy voice of direct care workers. Before joining DCA in April 2013, she was director of an initiative aimed at strengthening the human services provided to older adults at the national headquarters of the Alliance for Children and Families in Milwaukee, Wis. She has 20 years of experience in program development and management, coalition building and fundraising in the public health care and human services sectors. She has a bachelor's of science in business/marketing from Marquette University and an MBA in management from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
