Husband, Father, Producer - CBS Sunday Morning

Jon Carras is a five-time Emmy Award-winning and two-time James Beard Award-winning producer for CBS Sunday Morning in New York. He's overseen and produced numerous high-profile specials for the legendary broadcast including from Florence, London and Amsterdam along with Sunday Morning's 40th Anniversary, Charlie Osgood's Farewell and Sunday Morning in Primetime. He's also produced more than 300 stories ranging from an intimate interview about fatherhood with President Obama, Second Lady Jill Biden's first national profile, Chris Christie's early rise to GOP star, the importance of kindness, the demise of the Pennsylvania's steel and West Virginia's coal industries and the 50th anniversaries of both JFK's inaugural address and assassination, to stories on film critic Roger Ebert's battle with cancer, Mike Tyson's struggle to stay sober, Pete Rose's banishment from baseball, Thomas Jefferson's inner-conflict over slavery, Portugal's history of exploration and famous hand painted tiles, Venice's Art Biennale and famed gondolas, polo in the Hamptons, fashion icons Anna Wintour, Michael Kors and Christian Dior, actors Bradley Cooper, Keanu Reeves, Tom Hanks and Michael Keaton, British television phenomenon Downton Abbey, and musicians including U2, Coldplay, Elvis Costello, Foo Fighters, Gwen Stefani, Kesha and Dave Matthews Band. Born in Manchester, England, Mr. Carras was raised in Oxford and Cambridge, as well as the Pacific Northwest and Charlottesville, Virginia. He attended New College School at the University of Oxford, where he sang in the world-famous boys' choir. Mr. Carras holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Oregon and a master's degree in Public Policy and Management from the University of London. Mr. Carras lives in Rumson, New Jersey with his wife, Lauren, a New York City interior designer and children, George and Annette.
