Cecile Janssens

Cecile Janssens, MA, MSc, PhD, is professor of translational epidemiology at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health. She is also affiliated with the VU University Medical Center in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and holds degrees in economics, psychology, and epidemiology. She is a leading expert in risk prediction. Her research focuses on the science behind DNA tests that (claim to) predict common diseases and traits, and she teaches prediction research as well as critical thinking. She is a Public Voices Fellow with the Op-Ed project.
