Co-founder and CEO of Goby

Chris Happ is a co-founder and CEO of Goby, a national leader in sustainability solutions for the real estate industry. Prior to the launch of Goby in 2008, Happ successfully founded and subsequently agreed to the acquisition of blueSolutions, a supply chain software and process optimization consultancy. He is an expert on the utilization of software to drive cost savings, process efficiencies, and reduction of risk.

Goby is a recognized leader in the green building community, annually serving more than 100 Million square feet of cost savings, energy efficiency, LEED, and Energy Star projects. Goby ranks at the top of the industry in LEED projects completed and buildings certified through the Energy Star program. Goby's cloud based SeaSuite provides energy benchmarking and sustainability tracking and reporting for more than 100 customers across the country.

Happ was born in Chicago and grew up a die-hard Cubs fan. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a Minor in Management Information Systems and Concentration in Mathematics from the Richard T. Farmer School of Business at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He began his employment career as a Management Consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, focused on the implementation
of software solutions aimed at eliminating inefficiencies in the global supply chain. He quickly saw the potential of B2B supplier networks and joined dot-com high flyer Ariba, quickly rising through the ranks to Manager of Technical Strategy and Architecture within the consulting organization.

Happ moved to New York, and with a partner, founded blueSolutions, a supply chain strategy consulting firm. After growing the firm to national prominence, it was subsequently sold to French based software provider Hubwoo, a reseller of SAP supply chain technologies. Happ currently sits on the sustainability steering committee for BOMI International and chairs the membership committee
for the largest chapter of the US Green Building Council. He regularly speaks at real estate and green building events throughout the country.

Happ's passion for baseball and the Cubs remains, competing in the Junior League Little League World Series at the age of 13. He is passionate about working with and mentoring youth, actively speaking and working with under-privileged children to cultivate green skills to be marketable in the changing economy.
