Christina Bowman

From Paris to Marrakesh

Christina Bowman works on climate action and policy at the University of Maryland, where she recently graduated with a Master of Public Policy, specializing in Environmental Policy. Her background is in business, and she recently founded an early-stage startup to address food waste and subsequent GHG emissions in Washington, D.C.; winning the DC Climathon competition, and placing 3rd in a global cities climate innovation showcase in Paris, France. She was a non-governmental observer to COP21 in Paris, France. She has worked extensively on multi-stakeholder climate action through the organization of Climate Action 2016, and has previously worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the International Council on Clean Transportation.
