Cliff Hunt, Chairman, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, brings over 25 years of experience in the music industry, to YANGAROO. Hunt's extensive background includes a stint as a recording artist and touring musician before shifting to the business side of the industry. Hunt is responsible for driving market penetration and overall strategic development planning for YANGAROO.

Prior to YANGAROO, Hunt worked with some of Canada's most successful artists both domestically and internationally. Some of the artists he has worked with include Juno Award winner Lydia Taylor (A&M), Triumph (Virgin/ EMI), Refugee, (Polygram), Zon (Epic), The Diodes (CBS), and most recently Juno nominee Wendy Lands (EMI), and Juno winners, The Killjoys (Warner Music). Over the past 15 years, Hunt has negotiated over 35 major Canadian and international record deals and was instrumental in co-ordinating world-wide tours for his artists.

Prior to YANGAROO, Hunt was co-founder and partner in Hunt the Sandman, Inc, an artist management and record production company. He began his career as an agent for Concept 376 Ltd. He played a critical role in booking some of the top concert artists of the day such as, The Guess Who, The Stampeders, April Wine, and Lighthouse. Hunt also launched and founded his own record production and management company, Hunt Management Inc. to develop, promote and manage recording artists.

Hunt was also Associate Producer for the Canadian National Exhibition Grandstand Shows, which included some of the biggest names in show business from Frank Sinatra and Bob Hope to The Beach Boys, The Eagles, and Ray Charles.

Hunt has lectured at various Universities and Colleges and currently sits on the Advisory Board of Linus Entertainment, a record label distributed by Universal Music.
