Corey Capasso is a serial entrepreneur who, before starting Nomi, co-founded Spinback, a social commerce and analytics platform for product sharing online. Thirteen months after its creation, in May 2011, Spinback was acquired by Buddy Media. Fourteen months later, Buddy Media was acquired by Salesforce.com.
Prior to Spinback, Corey co-founded Exchangehut, a student-to-student ticketing platform, which was acquired by CDI American in 2008. Previously, during his freshman year of college, Corey conceived the idea of flavored plastic and in conjunction with A. Schulman Inc. developed, commercialized, and patented the technology in 22 countries. Leveraging the flavored plastic technology, Corey also co-founded MoGo Sport, a flavored mouthguard company. MoGo products today are in over 5,000 retail locations and are distributed in over 15 countries.
