Courtney Price is an acknowledged leader in digital media- covering interior design, lifestyle, technology, food and travel. Because her New Orleans roots launched her into the deep end of the design world, she serves to connect her following with top quality trends and resources- from antique to contemporary. There is a certain mystique that comes with having New Orleans roots. Globetrotting chef Anthony Bourdain says of the city flecked with the fanciful fleur-de-lis, “Don’t even try to compare it to anywhere else.” You could say the same about the place digital media savant Courtney Mullins Price, a NOLA native, inhabits with her trendsetting coverage of the design and tech worlds, especially when she is standing at the intersection of the two. The designer founded Courtney Price Design in 1999 and skyrocketed onto the scene given her ability to mix contemporary and classic styles—a talent she blames squarely on said hometown. Her mantra—“fine living expresses itself in the details”—grew to be a harbinger of her popularity as she traversed the country covering the most luxurious lifestyle events during any given week. You may find her touring the offices of Silicon Valley’s tech giants one day; in the Hamptons rubbing elbows with design’s elite at the decorator show house du jour the next; or toasting Veuve Clicquot while high-fiving with Nacho Figueras at a posh polo match the next! Modern Luxury Interiors Texas has featured Price for her social media work; she’s been nominated for ApartmentTherapy’s Best Home Design & Inspiration Blog; and she’s been ranked in the Top 10 Interior Design Bloggers on Twitter, Top Interior Design Blogs, Top Interior Design on Instagram. She was tapped as one of Decorex Top 100 Influencers, was featured in BH&G and House Beautiful. She’s been a mainstay at high-end product launches, including Google’s; and she is an editorial contributor to Traditional Home and Dering Hall. It’s the rare design-driven trendsetter who can say her platform spans from the interior design world into chef-driven food, technology and fine art. Might it be because her formal education includes studies in art history, the culinary arts, photography and interior design? Or perhaps it’s because she took studio art as part of her training? How about we deem it “all of the above”! Growing up in New Orleans didn’t hurt, as the tastemaker was surrounded by beautiful design. Consider the fact that the design-scape was rife with antiques, which enticed her to antique auctions from an early age; and that she carried this passion for quality with her during a stint in tony Washington, DC, where she worked in Public Affairs and Public Relations, and on to her current home city of Dallas, Texas, where she manages corporate Social Media accounts, and you’ll get the full picture of how deeply high-end style is embedded in her digital DNA.
