President, Olive-Harvey College

Dr. Craig Follins is the president of Olive-Harvey College, one of the City Colleges of Chicago. A workforce development expert with extensive experience in leadership at urban community colleges across the United States, Dr. Follins previously served as Executive Vice President of Workforce & Economic Development at Cuyahoga Community College in Ohio, and Vice President of Workforce & Economic Development at Victoria College in Texas, where he was responsible for workforce education, adult education, allied health, and continuing education programs.

Dr. Follins grew up in inner city New York City in a one-bedroom apartment with his single mother, brother and sister. He dropped out of high school and later earned his GED while serving in the U.S. Army. His mother’s determination to earn a master’s degree and teach for 30 years in NYC schools was the inspiration for his own educational pursuits.
