Actress Cynthia Sikes Yorkin is best known for her roles as Dr. Annie Cavanero in the NBC series “ St. Elsewhere”, Judge Monica Ryan on “L.A. Law”, and Dr. Sydney Walden on “JAG.” She was appointed by Gov. Schwarzenegger to serve as a commissioner for the California Service Corps. Cynthia also serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the UCLA School of Public Health and is helping to build an infectious disease laboratory network. She is a founding member of Team Safe-T which created the emergency preparedness curriculum for schools K -12. A native of Kansas, Cynthia was a U.S.O. singer/dancer with Bob Hope’s 1972 U.S.O. Christmas Tour to Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. Cynthia is married to TV & film director/producer Bud Yorkin. They reside in Los Angeles with their two children.
