Assistant professor of sociology at the University of Toronto and a member of the Scholars Strategy Network.

I am an assistant professor of sociology at the University of Toronto. Before that, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oxford. I received my PhD from the University of Washington in Seattle in 2012. I teach and do research in areas including politics, social movements, disability studies and social inequalities. I am especially interested in how different groups in society access the political process, as well as how policymakers promote important social change.
