Stay-at-home mother doesn't seem like the right description because I'm never at home! I have four kids, including a set of twins, ranging from ages 2-10 and live on the Upper East Side of NYC. I'm a freelance magazine writer and have written several books (one published). I also have a background in business including an MBA and have helped start up a number of businesses including the recent launch of a family-owned Charleston, SC-based crumb cake business, Nene's Treats (www.nenestreats.com). I'm also on four non-profit boards in the city. So basically I'm never just "staying home."
