Dave Schmelzer is the executive director of Blue Ocean Faith and the author of Blue Ocean Faith and Not the Religious Type: Confession of a Turncoat Atheist. He hosts the weekly Blue Ocean World podcast with Tom Wassink. The founding pastor of Reservoir Church in Cambridge, MA, Dave has spoken at Harvard, MIT, Tufts, Boston College, USC and many churches and universities throughout America and Europe. A Stanford University and Fuller Seminary grad, Dave was a playwright before his pastoral career. He lives in Santa Monica with his family.
