David Barnard

Mr. David Barnard is Vice-President: Africa at TechSoup Global. For 13 years prior to that, he was the Executive Director, of SANGONeT, the Southern African NGO Network, one of the few NGOs in Africa involved in the field of information communication technologies serving civil society. Mr. Barnard is an advisory board member of the Graduate School of Public and Development Management, Wits University. He holds a BA (Hons) cum laude, Development Management Stellenbosch University, and resides in Johannesburg, South Africa. David is currently training undertaking a 250km run through the Antarctic wilderness called the Last Desert Race and has dedicated his extreme efforts to raising funds for a Greenpeace campaign to combat climate change in Africa.
