David Eisenbach, PhD teaches media and politics at Columbia
University. He is author of "Gay Power: An American Revolution,"
(Carroll and Graf, 2006). "Gay Power" explains how the gay
rights movement in the 1960s and 1970s used the media to transform
American politics and society. The American Library Association
awarded "Gay Power" the 2007 Stonewall Honor Book award and the
Lambda Literary Association has named "Gay Power" a finalist for
the LGBT Studies category to be announced in May 2007. He is
currently working on a book about Ronald Reagan and the media.
