Debra Messing

Debra Messing is an American actress best known for her television roles in Will & Grace and The Starter Wife. She recently co-starred in the NBC hit musical drama series Smash. As PSI Global Health Ambassador, Debra has visited PSI’s HIV prevention programs in Zimbabwe and Zambia to bring attention to progress being made against the epidemic. After graduating from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Debra rose to prominence in television roles in several short-lived series, such as the Fox sitcom Ned & Stacey and the ABC's science fictional Prey. Since that time she has been nominated for a total of six Emmy Awards, eight Golden Globe Awards, and eight Screen Actors Guild Awards.
