Dey Young

Actress, sculptor in stone, bronze and acrylics, lifetime member of Actors Studio

Dey Young is a versatile actress who is a lifetime member of the Actor's Studio. She made her screen debut in the cult classic, Rock n' Roll Highschool. This role led to many other roles, most memorable is the snobbish shopkeeper in PRETTY WOMAN as well as, EXECUTIVE DECISION, BACK IN THE USSR and SERPENT AND THE RAINBOW. She can also be seen in FLICKA, RED EYE and WHAT JUST HAPPENED with Robert DeNiro. In television, Dey starred with Pierce Brosnan in the movie, MURDER 101, Kenny Rogers in MCSHAYNE, also, THE RAT PACK, and THE DAVID CASSEDY STORY to name a few. Dey was in the TV series EXTREME, MELROSE PLACE, THE MARSHAL, JAG and the hit teen series POPULAR. She has guest starred in a myriad of TV Shows.
Dey began her theatre career in London, at LAMDA, co-creating a role in CYCLES, playing at The Old Vic. She’s done a number of plays in LA, most recently, GOOD IN BED which she assisted in developing at the Actors Studio. Before that, she performed, LAST SUMMER AT BLUEFISH COVE at the Tiffany Theatre. Dey can be seen now in OEDIPUS MACHINA at The Odyssey Theater in LA portraying Jocasta through August 2nd, 2015.
Dey is also an accomplished sculptor. She works in stone, terra cotta, bronze, and resin and has been enthusiastically received by many fine galleries across the US.
