Dr. A. Frank Bonner

President, Gardner-Webb University

Frank Bonner has been president of Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina since 2005, having served as chief academic officer there since 1987 and previously in faculty and administrative roles at Anderson College (now University) in Anderson, South Carolina. His academic field is English, with a specialty in Victorian literature, and he holds the B.A. from Furman University, the M.A. from the University of Georgia, and the Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Bonner has done extensive accreditation committee work with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and currently serves on the SACSCOC Board of Trustees.
