Elliot D. Cohen (Ph.D., Brown University) is a media ethicist, political analyst, and fellow at the Secular Policy Institute (SPI) in Washington, D.C. Author of 26 books and numerous articles, he is Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Applied Philosophy. His publications include six books on various aspects of mass media ethics including two political science books on mass surveillance. Dr. Cohen is also Director of the Institute of Critical Thinking: National Center for Logic-Based Therapy (LBT), and Executive Director and founder of the National Philosophical Counseling Association (NPCA). A frequent contributor to Truthout, OpEd News, and other Indy media organizations, he also writes a popular blog for Psychology Today called, "What would Aristotle Do?"
