Emma Schwartz came the the center from the Huffington Post Investigative Fund. Before that she worked in the investigative unit of ABC News, where she uncovered a secret payment by a Florida congressman to his former mistress. She has also written about legal affairs for U.S. News & World Report and was a reporter with Legal Times, covering topics from the U.S. attorney scandal to the trial of Scooter Libby. Her work has appeared in the Los Angeles Times and USA Today, among other publications. She was a fellow with Loyola’s Journalist Law School in 2008 and is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley.
