Eric D. Dawson

Eric D. Dawson is the Co-Founder and President of Peace First. Peace First’s curriculum, tools and resources have a demonstrated impact with partner schools, on average, seeing a 60% reduction in incidences of violence, 50% fewer weapons being brought to school, and a 70-80% increase in instances of peacemaking-children breaking up fights, including others, and helping others.

Mr. Dawson has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including the Echoing Green and Ashoka Fellowships, Youth Service America’s Fund for Social Entrepreneurs and Pop!Tech’s Social Innovation Fellowship. He earned a B.A. from Harvard College, a M.Ed. from the Harvard School of Education and a M.Div from the Harvard Divinity School.

Eric still teaches Peace First each week in his neighborhood of Dorchester.
