Eric Gunlefinger

Eric is a veteran of the Iraq War and is passionate about veteran's issues. He lives with his wife Mandy in the suburbs of Philadelphia.

Eric Gunlefinger served in the Marine Corps infantry from 2004 to 2008. He was deployed twice to Fallujah, Iraq with the 2nd Battalion 6th Marines. In 2007, for his leadership and dedication to his Marines during combat operations, Eric was awarded a Combat Meritorious Promotion to the rank of Corporal.

Eric left the corps in 2008 and soon enrolled at Temple University where he studied Political Science, focusing on state and local and politics. Believing that real change often happens from the ground up, Eric ran for State Representative in Pennsylvania’s 162nd legislative district in 2012. Though the campaign was unsuccessful, Eric gained a deep appreciation for the shear effort and person hours that a grassroots movement requires, and an admiration for the people who dedicate their lives to these endeavors.

Today, Eric is happily married to his wife, Mandy. They live in the suburbs of Philadelphia where they are raising their first son, Elliott. Eric works as the manager of a proposal writing team for a software company that specializes in servicing the Higher Education community.
