Frances Osborne was born in London in 1969 and was educated at Oxford University. She is the author of two biographies. Her new book, The Bolter, which will be published in the US by Knopf on June 3rd, was a UK No.1 paperback nonfiction bestseller and shortlisted for both Best Read in Britain and Spear's Biography of the Year. Her first book, Lilla's Feast, was named a Kiriyama Prize Notable Book.
