Development Coordinator, Fenway Health; member of the Youth Advisory Board, Born This Way Foundation

Gena Ricciardi is a fundraising professional, student of leadership, and a member of the Born This Way Foundation’s Youth Advisory Board. By day she coordinates the Young Leaders Council of Fenway Health, a group of emerging LGBT leaders and allies who are empowered to shape their community’s future. She also heads up Fenway Health’s participation in Harbor to the Bay, a charity bike ride for HIV/AIDS organizations in Massachusetts.

Gena completed both her undergraduate and masters programs at Northeastern University, studying psychology and nonprofit management, respectively. Back in high school, Gena became involved with the Student Leadership Training Program, and went on to volunteer intensively for six years, studying and teaching leadership to students. She is determined to keep her passion for leadership and community building woven into her daily life, and feels most fulfilled when she can empower others to make a difference.

In her spare time, Gena loves to run, read, explore, and spend time with family and friends. She considers herself a Bostonian, a marathoner, and a lover of Italian culture.
