Hadley Davis Rierson

Author, screenwriter, mother

Hadley Davis Rierson is a Los Angeles-based writer, mother, wife and arts advocate.

A published author by the age of 26, Hadley went on to write for television (“Dawson’s Creek,” “Spin City,” “Scrubs”) and film (Disney’s “Ice Princess”). She stepped back from the entertainment business to schlep her children (currently 6 and 11) all over town to play dates, birthday parties and every conceivable type of lesson/sport in which they’ve had a (generally) fleeting interest.

Hadley, who danced with Boston Ballet in her youth, is passionate about the role of the arts in elevating the lives of children. She helped raise the funds to create New York’s New Victory Theater and currently serves on the board of directors of P.S. Arts, which puts visual art, drama, dance and music back into the curriculum of 20,000 underserved California public school kids every week.

In addition to the Huff Post, Hadley has contributed to publications such as The New York Times and Teen Vogue. She is a graduate of The University of Pennsylvania.
