Hoàng Chi Trương is the author of TigerFish, a memoir of coming of age in America as a Vietnamese refugee (Available on Amazon). Prior to writing, she served as the GIS Chief to the California Office of Emergency Services from 2013 to 2016. Her current mission is to advocate and bring awareness to the issues of refugees in America, and minimalist and Eco-conscious living. Hoàng Chi shares her journey of practicing minimalism and the lessons learned from her 6 months of being a refugee, living out of one bag when she was a teenager in 1975, and why that shapes her values of minimalism now.
