J. Michael McMahon

J. Michael McMahon is Minister of Music at National City Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Washington, D.C., and lives with his husband, Ray Valido, in Silver Spring, Maryland. Before beginning his current ministry at National City in 2013, Mike had spent his entire career as a Roman Catholic lay minister, serving in parish ministries for more than thirty years and most recently as President and CEO of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM), a national organization of Catholic church musicians and clergy. He holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Catholic University of America and advanced theological degrees from the University of Notre Dame and the Washington Theological Union. On November 1 Mike will be ordained to Christian ministry in the Disciples of Christ.
