James Kunen is the author of "Diary of a Company Man: Losing a Job, Finding a Life," in addition to four previously published works of non-fiction, including The Strawberry Statement, his account of the student uprisings at Columbia in the late 60s. A former writer and editor at People, and director of corporate communications at Time Warner, he currently teaches English as a Second Language at a community college in New York City.
