Melina Milazzo, Esq.

Senior Policy Counsel

Ms. Milazzo has a background in U.S. national security policies and human rights advocacy. Prior to joining CVT, Ms. Milazzo was the Advocacy Counsel with the Law & Security Program at Human Rights First where she focused on U.S. detention and interrogation policies, humane treatment of detainees in U.S. custody, and accountability for past torture and abuse of detainees in U.S. custody. As a law student, Ms. Milazzo interned with the U.N. Development Program in South Sudan, the International Bar Association in London, and with the Refugee/Asylum Program at Amnesty International USA. Prior to law school, she spent several years as a research assistant at the Latino Mental Health Research Program in San Francisco. Ms. Milazzo received her law degree and B.A. from Florida State University College of Law. She is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
